Pear Butter Recipe
 
Use this delicious Pear Butter recipe to create a spread for toast, biscuits or muffins. It also pairs well with pork.

Ingredients
• 4 ripe but firm Bartlett pears
• 3/4 cup pear nectar

Preparation
1. Place pears and pear nectar in a heavy medium saucepan and bring to a simmer.

2. Cover pan; simmer until pears are tender, about 30-35 minutes over medium-low heat. (Stir occasionally)

3. Use a potato masher to mash the pears.

4. Continue cooking, uncovered, over medium-low heat, stirring frequently, another 20-30 minutes. The puree should thicken and be thicker than applesauce. Stir constantly toward the end of cooking time.

5. Scrape into a bowl and let cool.
